I know you were, and I'm well acquainted with the Catholic/Protestant dynamic.
I remember an occasion roughly 40 years ago, I was at The Blarney Stone, a bar owned by Jimmy Fitzgerald and his son Patrick a friend of mine. I overheard someone order a Bushmills and have Patrick tell him, "We don't serve that Londonderry shit in this establishment. We serve Jameson, Powers, and Tullemore Dew." ![]()
