New versions of 70's bands

I see the Doobie Brothers are still putting out albums. To me, they just don't match up to their stuff of the 70s...though, they have most of the original members. I don't think Michael McDonald is with them anymore, Tom Johnston back on lead vocals.

Foreigner has only one original member (Mick Jones..I think) from the group that cut the first album. Lou Gramm has been gone. However, their recent stuff is pretty good, IMO.

But is it Foreigner? Mick Jones started the band, but he's the only original member. Maybe it should be called the Mick Jones Project?

Then there is Grand Funk's new incarnation, w/o Mark Farner. They should have left well enough alone, IMO.
