Setting: My regular spot in the little, outdoor smoke shack.

Paired with: Iced coffee

A somewhat veiny, toothy, slightly visible seams wrapper, a medium smoothness, toothy, medium length cap.

Had a firm bunch, slightly tight cold draw with no taste.

Overall, a fairly attractive cigar.

Wavy, but essentially even burn, strong, mottled white ash, short, conical coal and a slightly tight draw.

Ample smoke volume, smooth, cool smoke and a faint, subtle, woody aroma, only detectable by retrohaling.

Medium richness, body and flavor, mild strength and a perfect balance of earthy, herbal and woody flavors.

Aftertaste/finish was very weak, and very brief and consisted of only passing woody notes.

From a 2018 Cigar Aficionado review (the most recent I could find for some reason):
“A boxed-pressed cigar with a rich, earthy quality and caramel sweetness along with hints of chestnuts and herbs. The finish is long.
TOTAL SCORE:90"

So, I clearly disagree with it having a Carmel sweetness and hints of chestnut, but definitely got good earthy and herbal flavors.

I also very much disagree that the finish was long, as I detected very little, and it was very short lived.

Overall character was good and came in at very good on the final points scale, with a score of 85.
