The virtual Herf plan...

CW Sponsored "virtual event"
Hey guy -

I would like permission to host a virtual cigar "event" sponsored by CW.

Nothing required of CW except to let me post some info here for the cigar reps to read so they can know about the event.

Of course if any of you are on first name basis with any cigar manufacturer, that won't hurt if you can help make contact.

I have a physical location here in georgia - Bailey's pub in Kennesaw. They're Cigar Friendly - and sell some cigars too.

How the event will go:
The remote folks (cigar manuf/reps) will pick a cigar or 2, and a pairing - I have a list but can get other stuff too if it's not on the list... of beer or liquor (bourbon / brandy / cognac) (I have a list of that too). There will be NO COST to them for this promotion, unless they want to send some cigars for raffle/give-away - or even just for me to smoke...

Other info on the bar/their booze choices and the cigars they STOCK normally... HERE:
(copied from this post)
Quote:
The bar carries these cigars "in stock", but they do get others in rotations...
Macanudo Hyde Park Cafe
Tatiana Lavita Vanilla
Hoyo De Tradicion Toro Grande
Carlos Torano Casa Toro
Ashton Prime Minister
Davidoff Special R Tubo
Acid Remi Kuba Kuba
Romeo y Julieta Belcoso
Monte Cristo White Label Rothschild
Arturo Fuente Short Story
Gurkha Grand Reserve Churchill

They've got these bourbons/whiskeys/cognacs:

Bulliett and Bulliett Rye (for a limited time)
Bushmills Irish Whiskey
Canadian Club
Chivas Regal 12 Yr
Courvoisier VS
Crown Royal (We also have Black for a limited time)
Dewars White Label
Glenfiddich (for a limited time)
Glenlivet 12 Yr, 15 Yr, and 18 Yr
Grand Marnier
Hennessey VS
J&B
Jack Danials, Gentleman Jack, Single Barrel, and Tennessee Honey
Jameson (We also have 12 Yr for a limited time)
Jim Beam (We also have Devil's Cut for a limited time)
Johnny Walker Black
Knob Creek
Makers Mark and Makers 46
Remy Martin VS
Seagrams 7
Seagrams VO
Southern Comfort
Wild Turkey 101
Woodford Reserve

And they regularly stock these high end beers:
(though they have about 100 available at any time, a number of them are the bud/miller/Coors brands...)

Chimay Red
Chimay White
Chimay Blue
Unibroue Maudite
Unibroue La Fin Du Monde
Affligem Blonde
Duvel
Krombacher Dark
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
Heavy Seas Loose Cannon IPA
Heavy Seas Peg Leg Imperial Stout
New Belgium Abbey Ale
NB Ranger IPA
NB Snow Day Seasonal
Rogue Dead Guy Ale
Rogue Hazelnut Ale
Sam Adams Imperial Double Bock
Sam Adams Imperial White

So, what I'd like to do is to get 2/3/4 "cigar reps" to talk about one or 2 of their cigars, and the beer or bourbon/whisky/scotch that they'd pair with the cigar....

The bar will sell the cigar/bourbon/beer combo to the "guest" at a package discount price... I'm also thinking about having a raffle for some cigars (donated, of course)...
As indicated, everything for Cigar Reps / manufacturers will be free, because they're not traveling - just joining us "Virtually". They can use a PC headset for audio, or a telephone, or even the microphone in the webcam as their audio source - or the system will call them back on a telephone.

The entire event should take about an hour, with each of the guests being able to talk about their cigar pairing, and answer questions from the audience....

I am going to try to get a nearby cigar shop to also be on premise.

Goals -
Teach some younger folk about cigars
Promote some Cigars
Promote the bar as a cigar friendly location
Promote CW as an online place to go for info
(and maybe - promote the Cigar Rights of America group?)

The virtual meeting will be using webcams, via Imeet.
If you've not seen Imeet, - www.imeet.com

So, we're promoting Imeet too...LOL but that's my full time job.

Your thoughts, gents? Can i have permission to do this under the CW banner?
