Picked up 1 of these at the news shop in the mall today. One of the last in the box.
The cigar was put together very well as is typical of any Avo I've smoked. The wrapper was not as dark as other maduros I've seen. It cut well and the pre-lite draw was perfect. This cigar burned well and produced some nice smoke. Although this cigar didn't change much in the flavor department it remained an enjoyable mild to medium bodied smoke throughout. Any flavor differences I could detect seem to have come from the maduro wrapper. All in all I liked it, but at the price $6.25, wouldn't stock the humi with them. Then I asked myself,"WWTD"

Good review. Oddly enough I have never smoked one, I have a couple I took out of some box passes and have been meaning to give them a whirl.

I had one from a bombing, it was merely acceptable. I was disappointed.

Good review.
I smoked one of these last week. Perhaps one of the most dignified and refined maduros I've had. Very flavorful....but didn't wipe out my palette. A very nice medium bodied change of pace. Remarkably constructed. Very enjoyable. Not recommended if you are a full bodied maduro fan. jlancero AMERICA: NOW AND FOREVER, THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE. I smoked an AVO maduro sort of a small torp or belicoso. OUTSTANDING cigar not real stout but overall it's better than most NON-ISOMS
IMHO. It's not a late night whiskey cigar for me but a great daytime smoke. I'd give it a 8.5 outta 10.

I consistently love the Avo #9 maddies, as well as the #2 maddies - just wonderful for a mildish maduro....

Well to revise what I said...my Avo was a natural, not a maddie and the size was sevenmag, er robusto.

Large difference between the nat and the mad, IMHO. I'd have to agree with Aahzz. Definitely a fave non-ISOM.

I have found all AVO's I have smoked very mild but exeptional flavor and construction.
I was pleasantly suprised by the piramids which were even more robust then the others. but all I have tried were top class smokes for those mild cigar lovers! |

In general I find the Avo maduros to be a nice mild to medium smoke. The #2 is my favorite of the bunch. Wish they would put the Signature filler blend in a maduro wrapper.
