This probably needs to be divided up by genre, but I have always thought that Linda Ronstadt was one of the best female vocalists I have ever heard. Nicolette Larsen was also very talented and sexy. Lately, Diana Krall has my ear.

There is a jazz/blues singer out of KC named Angela Hagenbach, not only does she have a great voice(JMO), she is also beautiful.

As for country, I have to go with Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride.

Rock, my favorites are Pat Benatar, Gracie Slick, and Debra Harry.
