My friend has one, and I decided to pick one up at Bed, Bath & Beyond yesterday.

Before anyone starts harassing me...YES I often drink my coffee black...but I still enjoy a cafe au lait for something a little lighter and easy on the stomach. But just heating milk and pouring it in just isn't the same.

This little device is a long metal wand with a ring-shaped head and motorized handle. You just stick it in, turn it on, slowly circle the glass your heated milk is in and work your way up to make a nice foam. I normally have skim milk in my apartment, but I find whole milk or even Vitamin D milk works a lot better to make that nice, creamy foam.

I normally brew up a strong cup, and then pour in about an ounce or two of milk and spoon on some foam to top it off. Delicious
