For short term storage, those would work just fine, but dont fret over an "airtight" seal, especially if you are not in a bone dry climate. IMO, the best for short term storage is a big ziplock bag. Ive kept smokes in a ziplock for close to a year and they did not become overly dry (although they did lose some moisture) Add a small humidifier or one of those boveda packs to a plastic bag or any other container and you are good to go (short term)
