I think I'll have some jambalaya for dinner tonight and feel like wine. What would the good members of CW recommend?

This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.

I like Muller Thurgau with a spicy light dish.

A good merlot or pinot noir.

I had a great Gallo Cabernet Sav that a friend brought over for dinner a few nights ago. It was very rich and dark that coated the palate with fruit/oak/wood flavors.

I'm a big fan of pinot noir, something from the Russian River area.

Dan, I lived in the Sacramento for 5 years from '88 to '93. I was at Mather AFB and McClellan AFB. Through my travels in the military and being an Air Force Brat, that area is my favorite place to live, except for he crazy California politics.

You're right about that. The area is beautiful but the taxes and the politics suck.

One usually thinks of matching the food of a region with the wine of a region... and there are the classic pairings like duck and pinot noir... the fine wines of Louisiana? OK, I'd match it with beer, or a zinfindel. But wadda I know?
