About a year ago, I rediscovered my love of the guitar. Bought an acoustic and have been playing the heck out of it.

Now, I'm getting the urge for a hollowbody electric. However, the budget is small. I would love a $2,000 Gibson, but alas, the dough simply isn't there. I did a search on one of the on-line places just for giggles and came across some hollowbodies that are much more in my price range.
However, I'm not familiar with the brands. These are the names.

DiPinto
Ibanez
Epiphone, The Dot (I'm familiar with Epiphone but have never heard of The Dot.)

Any comments about these or any other brands in regards to hollowbody electrics, would be appreciated.
