First smoke
Tobacco came today. First pipe was ready. I decided to try the McClelland 5100 vice the 2015. The Red Cake was a little more friendly looking than the flake. Filled it up right, used my tamper judiciously. Did a first light, tamped, relit. Eureka! I had read that the 5100 can be a little tangy when you first get it. My mouth was a little tingly. No bite. Took my time. Tamped a little here and there. Burned pretty much the whole bowl on one light. Pipe performed okay.
I'm going to like this.
