Kung Fu Fighting

Remember that one, by Carl Douglas? (early 70s, I think)

My brother was feeling nostalgic a few months back, and was trying to find a Carl Douglas CD. So a friend of his was going to Jackson (lots of CD shops, with older titles) and he asked him to see if he could find a Carl Douglas CD.
Well, he couldn't, but he tried. So a day or so later, my brother finds himself in Jackson, and decides to look for a Carl Douglas CD.
He asks the clerk in one store.
The clerk says, "You aren't going to believe this, but you are the second guy this week looking for Carl Douglas CDs! What happened to make him so hot again, a new single out?"

(True story, btw)

OOoooooo-Hohohooooooo!

Hoo-Ah!

(that's the Fake karate/Disco "Hoo-Ah" not to be confused with the Military Hoo-RAH!)

Oooo, He was fast as Lightning!

Find a K-tel disc, record or the venerable 8-track for the true Classics!

Now, where is that tape with "the Telephone Man" and "DOA" on it?

Cheers!

"Ooo-rah" is Marine Corps. "Hoo-yah" is Navy (SEALs, particularly). "Hooah" is Army. "FORE!" is Air Force.

Let that be a lesson to you.

Hey!

I qualified it and everything!

Ok, I did fail to mention the "Who-Ahhh", from Pacino in "Scent of a Woman".

My bad.

Cheer-aah!

Scent of a Woman was also Pacino, not DeNiro...

On topic...Austin/San Antonio legends the Hickoids did a great cover called "Corn-Fu Fightin'."
