Too little time to do a search.
Quick question.......why is my humidor keeping a 72%-74% RH in my 3 month old humi. I followed proper break-in procedures for the humi (dish of distilled in humi for a week until 70%) and calibrated my Prometheus digital hyrgometer (salt test) which read the expected 75% humidity. I have a large humi w/about 225 cigars currently in there. I've done all the tricks, 50/50 PG & distilled, etc. RH always reads around 74%. When I take the humdifiers out (2 large credo type units) the humidity still reads 72%. My guess is the cigars are too moist. Currently with no humidifiers and leaving the humi open for 6 hours, the RH is back up to 69% and rising. Note, I live in MD and humidity outside is currently 55%. How should I proceed?
