Replacing element in Hydra Humidifier!

Ok fellas. This might sound nuts, but I replaced the foam element in my hydra humidifier...Just popped the cover off of the tank thing and cut a piece of wet floral foam to fit. Popped it back on, and it works like a charm...holds a lot more water too.

So if anyone was wondering..this can be done.
Just be careful and maybe use a torch to loosen the glue around where the top is fastened to the tank.

In addendum, the foam inside the thing looked VERY worn out and unabsorbant after only a year of use!! Now the unit comes on less frequently and keeps the humidity wayyy more stable!
