Good Grips sealing containers

I've found these containers made by Good Grips.

You put the lid on and then push down on a valve that pulls a gasket and plate shut. They advertise it as an airtight seal. I'm thinking these things may be good for short term storage.
I wish they made more rectangle versions. http://www.oxo.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSc...4&respid=53057

Anyone try them yet?
