Crowned Heads Yellow Rose

This is a beautiful dark box pressed Toro size with a tapered head. The foot has a nice earthy aroma. The cold draw is perfect. Today’s beverage is a cold Topo Chico.

The cigar begins with very pleasant earthy flavors and very rich smoke. There is a hint of pepper in the retrohale. The burn starts out very even.

In the first third a light sweetness and some cedar join the flavor profile. This is a very smooth medium bodied cigar. Some sweetness has also appeared in the retrohale.

During the second third the cigar picks up a bit as the sweetness fades. The cigar remains very smooth. The ash is fairly solid and the burn remains very even.

Approaching the final inch the cigar has started to heat up. I am purging between draws to keep the heat down. Still, the complexity of flavors remains excellent and the burn remains very even. 9.4/10, Joe Bob says check it out.

Is this a regular production cigar now? I think it started out as a limited release. I might have a OR box of this one or it might be the Tennessee Waltz. Actually I think it is the Tennessee version because the ribbon is orange, like the Tennessee Vols.

I believe that the Yellow Rose, The Tennessee Waltz and the new Ohio stick were all supposed to be regional, but I find them readily available.
