checking for leaks in humidor

basic question here, was wondering how you could check for leaks in your humidor properly, I was on the phone with a cigar oasis rep. today and I could not believe what she told me> she said to take out all the cigars and light an insence stick and leave it in the humidor and then check for leaks, yikes...... well thanks for your time
