Lil' help on the cooler
I'm wanting to build a shelf for my coolerdor but not quite sure what I can use. Would wood glue harm my cigars or not? If it would any suggestions on what I could use to fasten the shelf together?

I don't bother with shelves in any of my eight coolers, but I know some want them.
The older style coolers had a sort of a "groove" the runs the height of the interior and some will use that width to cut their SC board or wire shelving and just use an interference fit to place it in there. Dunno if the newer ones have that groove, and I just bought a 52qt a couple of weeks ago!

I read somewhere that Home Depot cuts the wire shelving to size. That's what I would do.

Once the glue is set and dry, I would think you wouldn't have any problems.
But if you are going to store cigars in their cabs and boxes, you have more than enough cedar to hold your humidity steady. Some like to line coolers with spanish cedar because it looks nice. But it takes up room. My cooler is so jammed that if I added shelving, I would lose space. |

Empty cigar boxes work well too. You can take the lid off and use it as a separate "shelf". I've also used plastic storage bins from WalMart.

humidor shelves
why not use screws?
i wouldn't think that wood glue would be harmful. I bet most humidors are constructed with wood glue. |
