Remember the LGC Dupont Lookalike Lighters from last year

Remember those? Well it has been my absolute favorite lighter for the last year and it broke today. Was there any warranty on them? I'm pretty sure they are long gone now, but man I would like to have another.

When you say it "broke," what exactly do you mean? I've had lighters die before, and was able to fix them by following the instructions in the I just fixed my lighters thread that's a sticky at the top of this page...

Yeah, it doesn't seem to have been one of those issues, Doug. It seems more along the lines of the twist wheel that determines the height of the flame has stopped working. I lowered it to purge/refill and then it would never come back up. I could tell it felt different when twisting, like it just wasn't 'catching' anymore.

McKenzie the flame adjuster wheel or lever is usually connected to the gas valve via splines or some form of key. It sounds like this interface may be striped or has come apart. Take the lighter apart to have a look but be sure to take note of where all the parts came from so you can get it back together! If something is striped or broken your lighter is probably toast.
