Curivari 10 cigar review
I’ve been wanting to do a review of all of these Curivaris that I have. So rather than do 10 different posts I decided to put them all in one post. Might be easier for future reference as well.
These reviews are obviously my opinion only and yours may differ. Also, there may be typos that I don’t catch. Apologies in advance. I decided to put the list from, best to worst, at the beginning of this post. Mainly so when anyone comes to this post they can see right in the beginning which 10 cigars I reviewed. 1)Buenaventura BV500 2)Selection Privada Robusto 3)Reserva Limitada Classica Epicures Robusto 4)Selection Privada Maduro Eminentes Robusto 5)Buenaventura Robusto LE 2023 6)Gloria De Leon Gran Domino Hermosos 7)Gloria De Leon Gran Domino Tremendos 8)Seleccion Privada Lanceros LE 2023 9)Buenaventura Picadores P46 10)Buenaventura Cremas C100 Buenaventura Cremas C100 Cost: 6.00-7.00 Size: Corona Extra 5 5/8 x 46 Wrapper: Ecuadorian Ct Binder/filler: Nicaragua Color: Colorado Claro Recent purchase 4 weeks ago. Pre light draw is very light in the flavor department. Just a hint of sweetness from the wrapper. First couple of puffs has a slight nuttiness and a little sweetness but overall very mild. Retro is a medium smooth cedar. Aroma is very nice. A light wood component in there. At the 1 inch mark starts to gain in Strength but still firmly in the mild category. Retro is a smooth, now mild cedar. Burn is very good, not razor sharp but no concerns. Smoke output has also been very good. Ash hung on to just over an inch. Once that has dropped the flavors changed. Opened up a bit and strength increased as well. More cedar in the flavor profile and still a mild smooth cedar in the retro. At this point the mild burnt wood aroma is the best thing about this. The palate has something there but I struggle to describe it as it is very light. 30 minutes in and almost to the 1/2 way point. Not much has changed. When breathing through your mouth you get a mild cedar lingering on the palate that gives an illusion of spice. But, it’s clearly cedar. Down to the last 1/3 and nothing new to report. Construction, burn, smoke output all still very good. At 55 minutes in I finally put it down. Final 3rd picked up in strength which may have gotten it right up to the medium line but really this is a mild smoke. With a name like cremas you really can’t expect a powerhouse but I was hoping for more in the flavor category. Smooth, mild to medium cedar best describes this overall. Good cigar for non cigar smoking friends who just want to participate at a gathering or for new cigar smokers who are interested in getting started. It definitely won’t scare them off with the power it has. The 100 point scoring is always a challenge. Whats in a number? Does anything ever score below 75? What the difference between 84 and 86? LOL. That being said, everything about this cigar except for the flavors would score in the high 80’s at least. 88 or 89 probably. The flavors I found to be rather boring to be honest. No real changes throughout let face it, cedar is just not that exciting. So the score for flavor would be down around 65 or 70. This was supposed to be mild to medium. IMO it never got out of the mild category. Buenaventura Picadores P46 Cost: 4.50 Size: PC 4 1/2 x 46 Wrapper: Nicaragua Binder/filler: Nicaragua Color: Colorado Recent purchase 4 weeks ago. These are made from scrap from the BV line. Pre light draw is a bit light but not bad with a slightly chocolatey flavor. Box pressed. The pack isn’t very firm. Some definite softness to the stick overall. 1st couple of puffs show some decent strength. Nice burnt wood aroma. Medium pepper to start off with with some cedar mixed in. Retro is similar. About an inch in and this mellows out just a bit. Smoke output is good but draw is definitely on the lighter side. Medium strength. Flavors aren’t bad. Some wood, cocoa, leather and the aroma is more of a leather/wood now. Retro is a medium cedar. Ash is flaky and drops pretty easy. About a third of the way in and the volume of smoke is really heavy. I feel like I exhale forever. Surprising with such an easy draw but I like it anyway. Cedar has backed way down and cocoa/espresso is dominant now. A tiny bit of salt and a slightly more amount of pepper now enter the mix as well. Just past the 1/2 way point. Flavors are pretty good. Cocoa/ espresso, smooth on the palate and retro. That stays pretty much the same down to the nub. Flavors moving into the espresso category and not so much cocoa but to my palate there’s a fine line between those 2 flavors. Slightly drying on the palate as well although not cotton mouth dry. Aroma was very pleasant throughout. Exactly 45 minutes of smoking time. Lingering flavor on the palate as I write this is somewhat chocolatey and just a slight tingle on the lips and top of the mouth. Even with the light draw, construction was good. No burn issues and smoke output remained very high the whole way. Overall I would put this score around 82-84. At 4.50 they are inexpensive in todays market and IMO a better value than the 1st one on this list. The Cremas. Value, of course, is subjective. Neither of these 1st 2 will make my rebuy list. I’d prefer a Tatuaje tattoo needle at 2.60 a stick over both of these just as a comparison. Selection Privada Maduro Eminentes Cost: 7.50 Size: Robusto 5 1/2 x 52 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habanos Maduro Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Maduro Purchased June 2023 So the 1st 2 I did were easy. I knew they were going to take the 2 bottom spots of these 10 reviews. The next 8, in no particular order, are going to be the difficult ones. I’ve had a few of these over the last year and I really loved them. For some reason I was never a fan of maduros in the past but these changed my mind. Pre light has a nice sweetness to it from the wrapper with a chocolate cocoa flavor that coats the palate. Wrapper has a nice sheen to it and overall the stick is very solid. No soft spots and filled perfectly. Draw is a little on the light side for what I prefer but should be fine. 1st couple of puffs provide a very rich character. Slightly salt, cocoa, chocolate, cedar with a medium cedar on the retro. Aroma is almost like a chocolate wood marshmallow or something. Not a great description but it’s very nice. 1 inch in and this is just a very tasty stick. Every pull coats the mouth with a hint of sweet cocoa, some wood notes, tinge of spice which is probably a cedar note. All of these flavors linger on the palate for a decent amount of time. It’s so good it really keeps you coming back for more and makes me want to smoke it faster than I should. For these reviews I do use a timer and try not to except more than 1 pull a minute but I am finding not only am I smoking this faster but the richness in this stick can handle a faster smoking profile. I am going to keep it on a slower pace though just to keep the reviews consistent. I might get an extra pull in here and there though. . Almost 2 inches in and ash is still hanging on. Burn line is a little uneven. Not enough for a tough up but keeping an eye on it. Retro is now a very smooth cedar and at about 2 inches in the flavors are pretty much the same. Nice complexity and very enjoyable. Ash finally drops. Little more wood and spice coming through now. Hints of earth as well. Aroma is a smooth burnt wood. Just past the 1/2 way point and getting some hints of dark chocolate, not sweet chocolate but like an 80%. Still only a slight tingle on the lips but it’s nice. Palate coating is cocoa. No change in the retro. Burn isn’t razor sharp but it’s pretty good and has improved over the coarse of the cigar without any touch ups. Still get hints of cedar on the exhale as well as that smooth cedar on the retro. Ash is mostly grey with specks of black here and there. Slightly flaky in spots but still hanging on very well. Smoke output has been excellent. Just over the 1 hr mark and we are down to the last 3rd and as I finish this up I can say this was a very nice smoke. Finish adds a little more richness in the cocoa flavor and the spice intensifies just a little bit. If you just breath through your mouth you get that spice like you get from cinnamon. It’s not sweet but the spice is similar. With a little over an inch left on this I could have gone longer but I payed it down for too long and would have had to relight and I’m hungry. LOL. Strength on this was on the high side of medium. As many probably already know Curivari tries to emulate Cubans somewhat. This would be an attempt at either Monte or Bolivar but certainly not a replacement for it’s cuban counterpart. The spice is also trying to emulate the cuban spice and it’s a nice attempt but this is just one where I wouldn’t mistake this for a cuban. That being said, it’s an excellent cigar in it’s own right and certainly worthy of a box purchase. This is the last from a 5 pack purchase I made last year and every one of these has been very enjoyable. Very consistent and has held up very well and even though these are only a year old, they certainly smoke like they have lots of life left in them. In fact I could see these being very good even with 5-7 years of age on them. Once I get the box in I’ll try and put a few back to test that. Oh and total smoke time 1 hr 15 minutes My overall score on this would be around 88. Lost a point for the burn issue early on but overall an excellent cigar. Gloria De Leon Gran Domino Tremendos Cost: 6.00 Size: PC 4 1/4 x 44 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Criollo Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Colorado Rosado Purchased April 24 Nice pre light draw with a sweet profile. Wrapper has a couple of small veins and a nice oily sheen to it. Starts off with a burst of coffee and a little cedar spice. Cedar in the retro as well That stings a bit. Nice medium bodied rich flavors developing. Aftertaste is a mildly sweet spice. Smoke output is excellent and burn is perfect. At the 1/3rd point. Flavors have been consistent with above. Retro is smoother now and aroma is very nice. Almost like a smoldering wood. Burn line is off a bit and sorta jagged actually but nothing that requires a touch up. Aftertaste on the lip is mildly sweet with a hint of salt. Ash got to 1 1/2” before dropping. 1/2 way in and we have coffee, cocoa and sweet spice still. Flavors are still very rich. Retro is the same. Smooth mild cedar. Overall this is on the milder side of medium strength. And now at 40 minutes in This has been an enjoyable smoke. Last couple of puffs got a little rough but I was also smoking it pretty quick to finish it up. Oh and with about 1/3rd left it did develop a nice creamy note to it. Went well with the slightly sweet aspect. When I put it down it still hadn’t dropped the 2nd ash Lingering aftertaste on the palate and lips which is very nice from a 6 dollar stick. I read one description where it had cherry in the flavor profile. Sounded interesting but to be honest I couldn’t really pinpoint any cherry the whole way through. The sweet component was nice though. Would I rebuy? Not sure yet. Depends on the next cigar I review which will be same line but robusto size. Overall rating is around 85. Very good but the Robusto is just about the same price and a larger cigar and if it is as good then I would probably load up on those instead. We will find out next. Gloria De Leon Gran Domino Hermosos Cost: 6.30 Size: Robusto 5 x 48 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Criollo Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Colorado Rosado Purchased June 2023 So the notes on this are similar to the Tremendos so far and I’m about 1 inch in. The differences are in the age for sure. This cigar is a little more refined that the much younger PC meaning it’s smoother overall on the palate as well as the retro. This one also has more of that sweet spice and the aroma has a sweeter profile. The draw on this is a bit firmer than the PC was as well. Perfect actually. And just for reference, I smoked the PC this morning and now this one started about 9:30 PM so plenty of time to wash the palate of the 1st smoke. Burn is very good and the grey and black ash is still hanging on 1 1/2” in. There’s a smooth creamy sweet wood flavor that forms the majority of the flavor profile now. Very nice. Retro is now a medium strength cedar. Any stronger and I would need to cut back on the amount I retro. Now at the 1/2 way point. Things are pretty much the same. Little more wood coming through but not that drastic a change to be honest. Retro is smooth again as well. Ash still hasn’t fallen but it must succumb to gravity at some point and the ashtray is being held under it with each puff I take. 2 more puffs and it finally drops. . 51 minutes into the cigar. Impressive. Last 3rd now. Smooth wood, mild spice, just a hint of sweetness and a little cedar. Retro is the same as is the aroma. Very rich tasting smoke. No shortage of flavor and overall very enjoyable. Total smoke time 1 hr 25 minutes and right down to a small nub. Also the 2nd ash never dropped. I never really got the cherry that was supposed to be there while smoking this one either. However now that I am finished there is a slight cherry flavor on the lips and palate and the lingering flavor profiles are nice. As I suspected I liked this one better than the PC. Construction, flavor profile, smoke output and burn were all excellent on this one. Very well made cigar for a 6 dollar Robusto. Construction - 5 Burn - 5 Flavor - 8 Richness/complexity 8 Overall impression - 8.5 Cost/Value- 10 Total 44.5 Selection Privada Cost: 7.00 Size: Robusto 5 x 50 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Colorado Rosado Purchased June 2024 Nice oily sheen to the wrapper. Seems a little soft overall. Pre light draw is lighter than I like but the flavor is definitely Cuban. Going to a website that sells these it says Nicaraguan Habano and criollo in this. Let’s get it lit and see if that flavor holds up. 1st couple draws are a bit rough. Seems a bit dry to be honest which might also explain the loose draw. These just arrived 3 or 4 weeks ago though so they may need more time to acclimate. 1 inch in and the flavors are really starting to open up. Sweet cedar and spice on the palate. It’s a light spice. Very nice. Coating the lips as well. Ash dropped at about 1 inch. Burn is close to even. Draw is fine and just slightly loose now. Smoke output is excellent and retro is a mild cedar. Very complex and rich tasting. Aroma has a nice burnt wood note to it and is reminiscent of a Cuban cigar. Of course the big question is, does it taste like a Cuban. The honest answer is, it’s close. So far I really like everything about this. The aroma is cuban and when you exhale it’s really as close to a Cuban as I can imagine. 3rd of the way through or about 1 1/2 inches and ash drops again. Nothing has really changed. Nice medium finish on the lips and palate. On the light side of medium bodied. Just past the 1/2 way point and aromas are the same. Retro has turned to a nice wood note. A little less sweetness but still hints of sweetness, almost like a light chocolate mixed with some wood. The Cuban profile is also starting to come through a bit more. Little more spice on the lips and very nice aftertaste on the palate. Still medium finish with hints of that chocolatey wood. Last 3rd now and more burnt wood and spice and it’s also rich and complex. It’s not over powering on the nicotine side of things though. It’s just right to my tastes and preferences. Even the retro has gotten complex with a little cedar added in as I approach the end of this. 1 hr 10 minutes in and my burins fingers tell me it’s time to lay this one down. The finish on this one is absolutely Cuban profile. Not like any Cuban I have had before though. Almost like they created a new brand. It’s very good and very satisfying to someone who enjoys Cubans. I really had a hard time with this one. The tobaccos used are very good. Aroma from the exhale as well as just the cigar on it’s own have such a nice wood quality to them and really does resemble a cuban cigar. The last 3rd is where this cuban profile really kicks in and it’s the complexity that makes this so difficult for me to describe. The strength also kicked up from the low side of medium to the high side. I did need to eat something after finishing this one. I also feel like this burned a little fast and was probably under humidified. That being said, this was my favorite one so far Construction - 4 Burn - 5 Flavor - 8.5 Richness/complexity 10 Overall impression - 9 Cost/Value- 10 Total 46.5 Buenaventura BV500 Cost: 6.70 Size: Robusto 5 1/4 x 50 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Colorado Purchased May 2023 This was the Curivari that got me hooked on the brand. Watching the fireworks 4th of July 2023 and enjoying one of these I was amazed at how much cuban profile this had. Here I am a year later reviewing 10 different sticks looking for any of them that also have that profile I love. (2 other sticks that are not included here but I have already smoked through. Not worthy of a rebuy) This one is box pressed. Medium Chocolate brown wrapper with slight oily sheen to it. Pre light draw is that nice Cuban sweet leathery spice. Draw is perfect with just a slight resistance. Get it lit and right from the 1st draw this is Cuban. Burnt wood aroma, leather, spice with a small hint of chocolate. Retro is very smooth mild cedar. Rich flavor profile medium in strength. Draw is perfect and burn is slightly off but only 1/2 inch in. When I first started smoking these last year my only complaint was I felt like they weren’t consistent. Probably to young and just needed more time from their travel. However CP price at the time was a little over 38 a box. 1 year later and cant even get a 5 pack for the same money. Now at 67 a box, still a bargain. Little over an inch in and everything is pretty much the same. Slight increase in the cedar flavor and a slight salty coating on the lips that lingers pretty well. 1/3 of the way in and the spice and cedar have become a complex spice. Some chocolate sweetness is creeping in and all of this is still on top of a leathery base. Retro is still a very smooth mild cedar and aroma is the same. Smoke output is very good and the burn is still slightly uneven but it’s a non issue. 48 minutes in and almost to the 1/2 way point. Compared to the last cigar that I thought was too dry. At 50 minutes I was close to wrapping it up. Just about the same size too but this one is perfectly humidified and burning slow. A couple more draws and there is a definite change. Flavors are now a rich complex leather and spice that has kicked up a notch on the strength scale. High side of medium now and this is delicious. Nice sweet spice coating on the lips and the palate has a nice leather and tobacco coating. 1/3 left now. Add a little sweet to that complex spice note to make it even better. The lingering flavors on both the lips and palate leave no doubt that this is a cuban cigar. Of course it isn’t but WOW it sure acts like one. 2nd ash dropped and now the burn corrected itself. I just really sat back and enjoyed this last 1/3. As I got down to an inch I figured I was getting close to wrapping this up. Nope. Black pepper kicked in and started tingling the lips and front half of my tongue. A little chocolate note also came back stronger as if this cigar needed anything else. Finally laid it down at 1 hr 46 minutes as it was burning my lips. I think I said a lot about this cigar and it’s all well deserved. I was impressed when I first tried this more than a year ago. So much so that I bought 5 boxes before I even finished my 5 pack. My only regret is that I left boxes on the site. I should have bought them all. Especially at 38 bucks a box. Rebuy? Most definitely. Next months budget will be leaning on these heavily. A year of age have only made these better. I also see that there is a Maduro version of these available. If it’s the same blend those could be very interesting. My only complaint is that they dont put a date on the boxes. I have a label printer so I do it myself anyway but these are so good they should come with a date on them. Construction - 5 Burn - 4.5 Flavor - 10 Richness/complexity 10 Overall impression - 10 Cost/Value- 10 Total 49.5 The only reason this wasn’t a perfect score is because I am doing these reviews and had to ding it a 1/2 point for the minor burn issue. Seleccion Privada Lanceros LE 2023 Cost: 8.10 Size: Lancero 7.25 x 42 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Colorado Purchased April 2024 Nicely made lancero That comes in nice SLB’s of 10. This has a Colorado wrapper but not much of an oily sheen to it. A bit soft in the first 3rd of the cigar as well. Prelight draw isn’t bad and has some mild spice to it and seems like it is fairly rich. First couple of puffs are very harsh and nasty but that soon turns to mostly cedar both on the palate and retro. Retro is a medium cedar. Ash dropped at 1” in and again at about 2” in. Still mostly cedar. One of my favorite sizes so I was really looking forward to this one. So far off to a less than stellar beginning. 1/3 of the way in and the smoke goes out. Smoke output has been a little light the whole way thus far. After the relight the smoke output greatly improves. I wish I could say the same about the flavor. It’s just all cedar so far and that cedar provides some spice notes but almost 1/2 way in and not a lot going on here. This is an LE? Medium bodies so far. 1/2 way in There’s an occasional hint of burnt wood and the aroma has a nice burnt wood smell to it. A little further in and after the 3rd ash drop, which was a little longer than the 1st 2, Starting to get a little sweetness in the mix. Also more burnt wood but still overwhelmingly cedar. Retro has become smoother but still a mild aged cedar. Starting in on the last 1/3 and finally some changes from the cedar. More of a medium spice now on the palate. What little sweetness was there is gone. Burn and smoke output are very good. 1 1/2 inches left and just when this should start getting very good it goes out again. Relight and just impossible to keep going so it got put too and early rest. 1st cigar of the day for me and 1 I was really looking forward to. As you can see this was a very short review. There just wasn’t much to say about it. A major let down. Maybe just a bad cigar from a roller who was having a bad day? I don’t know but sadly I have 2 boxes of these to smoke through in the future so we will see. If you really love smoking cedar then maybe it’s a great cigar. I like cedar in the profile and think it adds a nice spice component but if this was someones idea of a blend that is so good as to be considered an LE then they should find new work. Construction - 3 Burn - 2.5 Flavor - 4 Richness/complexity 5 Overall impression - 4.5 Cost/Value- 2 Total 21 Buenaventura Robusto LE 2023 Cost: 8.50 Size: Robusto 5 5/8 x 54 Wrapper: San Andreas Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Dark chocolate/Maduro Purchased June 2024 Nice looking box pressed dark chocolate wrapper. Slightly toothy with a nice amount of oils. Pre light is a little loose but not bad. Flavors are slightly early with a mild spice. There’s a nice sweet spice with a little burnt wood and cedar to get us started. Medium too strong cedar on the retro. Aroma is a smooth but strong burning wood note. I like it. Now about an inch in and the flavor is very smooth, touch of sweet and a little spice. Burn is near perfect as it the draw. Retro is a smooth mild cedar now. Ash dropped at a little over an inch. Flavors are complex and rich. Some what hard to describe. I went online looking to see how others describe it and Graham cracker comes up. I can sorta taste that. Hints of graham cracker with a little spice and cedar in there as well. Also a little hint of metallic or mineral on the sides of the tongue as well. Just showing it youth I think. Almost at the 1/2 way point and the 2nd ash drops. Coating on the palate is earthy, spicy around the edges and a little spice on the lips. A little lingering mineral on the front of the mouth as well. Burn is a little uneven. Retro is still a smooth cedar with a hint of sweetness in the back of the throat. So far very nice. I have been using a timer on all these reviews and trying to stick to the 1 draw per minute rule, more or less. What I have nice with this cigar is if I slow it down a little more and leave 1 1/2 minutes between puffs, there is more sweetness and more of that graham cracker flavor that comes through. Smoke output is very good and burn is correcting itself. Getting to the last 1/3 now and the spice is kicking up a notch. Been a medium bodied cigar most of the way through and that hasn’t changed. There is a little more spice on the lips now. More sweetness on the palate to go with the earth as well. The aftertaste in the mouth between puffs is similar to a cuban. I like it but for the most part would not say this has cuban properties. Maybe with some age that will change. As I finished this one up some nice cashew flavors entered into the mix. Overall a very good cigar but I do feel like it is still showing a lot of youth and maybe hasn’t fully acclimated. It’s only been here 4 or 5 weeks now. That mineral flavor around the edges tells me this needs to age a bit more as well. Probably revisit these in 3-6 months before buying more. They are on the expensive side of things as far as this brand goes. Construction - 5 Burn - 4.5 Flavor - 8 Richness/complexity 8.5 Overall impression - 8 Cost/Value- 7 Total 41 Reserva Limitada Classica Epicures Cost: 6.70 Size: Robusto 4 1/2 x 52 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Binder/filler: Nicaraguan Color: Very dark Colorado, almost Maduro Purchased June 2023 Back to a round cigar. . Nice looking cigar. Dark and oily. Very solid all the way through with no soft spots. Pre light draw is perfect with just a slight resistance. Flavor is chocolate. After lighting the first couple of draws are loaded with pepper but that soon changes to a very mild black pepper with mostly leather and cocoa. No chocolate though. Bummer. Smoke output is very good. Retro is a medium cedar. Just before the 1” mark and the retro turns to more of an aged cedar profile. Like the cedar is turning to spice. Cocoa is the dominate flavor so far. Little sweetness creeping in and a slightly leathery taste lingers on the palate. 1st ash drop at just over an inch and the this thing really gets going. More sweetness, more pepper, little chocolate as well as the leather and cocoa. Nice sweet spice on the lips and some rough cocoa note in the back of the throat. Some definite hints of that cuban profile as well. I think these are supposed to mimic a cuban SD4 and the further I get into it the more it does. So far anyway. Medium to full bodied. Smoke output and burn are both excellent. Actually the burn line is off a little bit. Maybe a 1/2 point ding but nothing that requires a touch up. 48 minutes in and just past the 1/2 way point. Retro is now a mild cedar with pepper mixed in. The flavors have been very rich and complex the entire way. Really nice flavors lingering on the palate. Sweet cocoa and a little leather are the dominant flavors. Sweetness on the lips. The one spot where the burn is off there is also a vein which I am sure is the cause of the burn issue. But again, not a big issue, it’s just burning a little slower than the rest of the wrapper. Down to the last 1/3. Ash is still hanging on. Oops, spoke too soon. Dropped on the next puff, right in my lap. . This final 1/3 the pepper picks up and lingers on both the palate and lips. Strong, rich tobacco flavor as well. Great finish to a great cigar. The cuban profile is there but I would not mistake this for a Cuban if I was smoking it blind. The pepper in this is similar to a Partagas though but not exact. I will say that I dont usually smoke Partagas young either. Usually 5 years minimum so probably not a fair comparison. Fortunately I did buy the rest of what CP had last year at 38 bucks a box. So at 3.80 a stick the value is off the charts. At 6.70, it is still a very good value. Burn time on this one was about 1 hr 20 minutes. Definitely would not be my choice for a morning cigar but it was the last on the list to review so I had it with morning coffee at 8 am. Probably the strongest Curivari of them all but not over powering. Still it’s a full bodied cigar suitable for after dinner. Construction - 5 Burn - 4.5 Flavor - 9 Richness/complexity 9 Overall impression - 9 Cost/Value- 10 Total 46.5 |
