Beetles - should I be scared?

Have any of you who live in the Northeast had problems with Beetles? I live in Syracuse and the temp usually doesn't get much over 80. Occassionally, the indoor temperature will stay at 80 or higher for a few days to a week. I don't have a/c.

I'm wondering if I need to be concerned about beetles? I have been keeping my cigars in the basement during the summer and the temperature doesn't get as high and I have not had problems in the past. But I was thinking about getting an Aristocrat and I don't want to keep that in an unfinished basement. Do you guys think I would be inviting trouble with a possible beetle outbreak?
