I have a Tiger butane sigle flame lighter. While lighting up this morning the lighter stopped producing a flame and made a hissing sound, Now the hissing sound is all I get from the lighter. Any idesa on the problem and how to fix? Thanks

I have a dozen lighters and half of them don't work, including some $50 Colibris . When one "hisses", you're getting butane but no spark. If you like the lighter, I'd just stike a match near the escaping fuel and light it that way or light it with another working lighter as you hold it open.

If it is a Tiger lighter, they have a lifetime warranty.

OK here is what has worked for me,your not getting proper fuel to oxygen mixture,so it won't light....Light the lighter,if you have a funky ass flame blow it out but continue to let it hiss. Now this is where you can do quite a few things but I'll focus on the easiest but probably not the most practical.
Let the fugger hiss, take your bottle of butane(up side down) and put it right in the mouth of where the flame should be coming from(I'm thinking contact cleaner or WD40 would work better here but we need a light right now). Give it 3 or 4 good shots of butane(yes it's cold but do it anyway) now light it(hahahahaha! just checking) DO NOT LIGHT UNTIL THE LIGHTER IS COMPLETELY DRY,YOU IDIOT!!! They don't call me no knukle hair Johnson for nothin'.LOL.......Seriously let it dry out for a good 10-15 minutes and don't be surprised if the damn thing starts working again 100%. Your mileage may vary but it's worked on 4 of my cheepo lighters. Now you guys with the colection of primo lighters send 1/2 of them to me...LOL Hell try it what do you have to lose? Knukle hair grows back!

That canned air you can buy for dusting computers will do the job like the can of butane.
