Given all of the injuries he had (quite a few we didn’t know about), it wouldn't surprise me if he did come back for one last season. Payton has pretty much designed the offense around him and another season or two would allow them to ease a new QB into Brees' role. This is why I thought trading Bridgewater away was a mistake. Winston is not and never will be an elite player.
