My choices?
1. Fuente Humidor bag 2. Tupperware 3. Cigar Classics Aluminum tube for nearly indestructible transport of 2 cigars 4. Cigar Caddy (5400 or 5540 if you are on planes) 5. Csonka 6. Well, we've already moved out of the cheap bastard range on the Csonkas so I won't even go any further. I know everyone has done the thing about full foam sleeve cradle for your cigars vs. the foam inserts found in stuff like the Cigar Caddy. I don't see it. My Cigar Caddy gets packed in my checked luggage and has been through 12 trips already. Zero problems, no torn wrappers, etc. I don't use their humidifier though. I just throw a Humidi-pak in top of each tray. I now have a 5540. If I pack it light, I throw my lighters and cutters into the bottom and then stack the inserts on top of them. Not a problem yet. I know of several people who have had the Shermans and finally got rid of them, because they kept getting dented when traveling. Of course, all of them moved up to a ZERO Halliburton, but that doesn't fall into the cheap bastard category. |
