Question regarding accuracy of hygrometers

I have an Avallo with the Acumonitor humdification system. Currently, it reads out 70°F and 64% humidity. I put in my Csonka hygrometer to get a gauge on how accurate (or inaccurate) it is. It reads 70°F and 70% humidity. While some would consider this ideal, the issue here is not about what the levels are, but rather what the hygrometers are reading out.

For comparison, I keep the Csonka hygrometer in my desktop humidor that has about a pound of 65% beads. It reads 64% humidity.

Does this mean the Acumonitor is under-reading the humidity? And if so, has anyone else had this problem?
