Gotta go with Run since they took rap to a whole other level. They were different from everything else going on in NY during their era. At the time it was all Bambatta and Planet Rock. Guys wearing glitter and crap. Then Run came through with the black jeans, leather jackets and Adidas. Shit, nobody was wearing Adidas till they started wearing the shell toes.
Kurtis Blow was dope though. |
