AKG makes some great mikes, so does sienhiesser(sp?)
AKG also makes a great pair of studio headphones, i have had to replace the plug several times due to two differnt dogs in two different cities, but i just can't find another pair that sound this good, they are the 240 model.
been looking at a recorder myself that records CD's and DVD's, price has come down ro what a third of it was when they dirst came out. ie also has a whs player and recorder as well. i forget who makes it at the momment, maybe panasonic or JVC, both are pro models and i would add it to my editing system to make finishing my projects quicker.

what are you recording?
