Cabinet humidor Opinion

Found this on E-bay and was wondering your opinion on it. For the price it don't look bad..

No singles drawer but I thought a 150ct humi on top would suffice.

Agree Mark. Looks almost too nice for the price. I'd want to see the inside and understand how it seals before I pulled the trigger. Might turn out to be a "you get what you pay for" type item.

Agree with the concern about seal and "getting what you pay for. I might see what this one goes for. The seller appears to be in the business of selling these particular humidors so there will likely be another/more available at some point in the future. Check the vendor's feedback comments also.

I just got one and I'm seasoning it now. I added two window locks to the door and another layer of weatherstripping to the door. I took a part the humifiers and replaced the foam with SAP's and it's been holding 70% for 5 days. I took a part the humifiers and replaced the foam with SAP's For under $200 delivered it's ok, not an Aristocrat but not bad.

I was thinking of getting another but some guy named birdhunter02 was bidding on it so I didn't

I'm thinking of taking my cigar bands and glueing them to the top. That's why I've not put cigars in it yet.

I'll post pics when I get home a little later.

Shhhh! I'm interested in seeing how well it holds RH. Too bad they only come in one wood type.

Looks like quite a deal ... I think others ahve raised some good questions to ask before buying, however. I always advise caution when buying on ebay, based on past experience.

This is not an Aristocrat or Avallo, the fit & finish are just ok. It is still holding humidity between 69-71%, I open it once daily. When it arrived it wouldn't pass the flashlight test but the window locks and weatherstripping (under $15) seem to make it seal tight now.

I won a second and will use them as end tables in "The Man Cave" and they will house everyday cigars. All super premiums will stay in my Aristocrat.

If you're looking for a fine peice of craftsmanship this ain't it, but for under $200 it should work fine.
