Humidifiers
I have a stand alone humidor that is 8' tall by 3' wide and 3 1/2 ' deep. I'm thinking about buying an ellectric humidifyer. It seems the only two on most sites are the Oasis or Hyrda. My question is, is one better than the other? I've read where some on here have used the Oasis and seem to be satisfied with them. I'm just looking to be what you think is better and why. Thanks!

I think with a humidor that big you need something larger. Aristocrat sells larger stand alone units, at least I think they do. I'd check into that.

To answer your question, I have both. I like the Oasis much better than the Hydra. The Hydra tends to shut off mysteriously and doesn't reset itself. It also has an alarm that is supposed to tell you when it's out of water. The alarm is worthless, going off when it has plenty of water. No problems with the Oasis.
With a humidor your size (84 cu ft), you're going to need two Oasis XL-IIs. They're not cheap either, about $185 apiece.

When you're talking that much money you might as well go with the best.
