CAO "Concept Series" Gold Maduro....A Big Jack Rev

From what I understand, the “Concept Series” are “house blends” available to sample, to visitors to CAO Headquarters, in Nashville. I guess they like to fool around with the typical blends, and see what they come up with. This particular cigar, was a CAO Gold Churchill, with a Maduro wrapper. I’m a bit of a maduro fiend, and I really enjoy the Gold line, so I was seriously looking forward to this puppy.

The wrapper was very “rustic” looking, thick with some large veins running all over it. I was getting excited already, just looking at it.

I punch cut the cap, and tested the draw. Not too tight, not too easy. This was gonna be nice! The wrapper had that slightly sweet/spicy flavor that I love so much.

It lit right up, no touch ups needed, and had a straight burn, all the way down.

The first inch or so, was typical of the Gold line, Mild, but flavorful. As it burned, the flavors grew more intense, and the maduro wrapper, really added to the flavor. I was hoping for a lot out of this cigar, and it did NOT disappoint!!

The only down side to a cigar like this, is the limited availability. If these were a production cigar, I’d DEFINITELY keep some around!

Overall, I’d give this about a 93. There was NOTHING about this cigar that disappoints!
