Ok, now I'm ready!!
Finally snagged me a PopperyII, the old style with the yellow hood. Just need to pick up a chimney that is the right size to fit the opening and I'm ready to embark on my new hobby of home roasting.
I've been browsing over Sweet Maria's and CBC's selection of beans, and I feel like a kid that walked into a candy store with his allowance. His dilema is so many candy choices and such limited funds. My dilema is so many different beans and so little tasting experience. I have had a limited few varieties to taste so far thanks to Mad Dawg & Spiny Norman. I know which of those I really liked but that is the grand sum of my fresh roast experience. So the question is....what are some different varieties of beans that ya'll would say that I just have to try? I know that Full City is definately a roast that I like, or at least with the beans that I've had the pleasure of trying so far, but I would also be interested in hearing about any other beans that are just as fabulous when done with a lighter roast. So what say you home roasting veterans. What are some of the must try beans out there right now??
