Dry/Unraveling

Hey Everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster here. I have always liked cigars but have become fascinated with them over the past year. I have a small humi -- holds 40 to 50 cigars-- and am about to purchase another larger one.

A friend of mine just sent me a box of Montecristo No. 1 cigars from the dominican. To my disappointment and surprise, (they were shipped only about a week ago) they are very dry and a lot of the wrapping is coming or has come off on about 13 of the cigars. I put the box in a big plastic bag (sealed with a few holes) and a sponge damp with distilled water for the time being. What is the best way to restore these great cigars?

Thanks in advance
