Humidification system

Hi All,
First let me say that I love this board. There is so much great information. I have a couple of questions though for anyone with more experience than I. (that is a long list of folks, I can assure you!)
I have two humidifiers (and two humidors). My main is a Reed & Barton Diamond Crown. The humidifier is a Diamond Crown for 100 cigars.
My question is this: The temp inside the humidor runs high, right now about 78 farenheit and the humidity is at about 66%. I know that this is in the acceptable range because the temp, 8 degrees higher than it should be, is offset by the humidity being below the normal range. As my temp goes down, will the humidifier adjust the humidity upward to match the environment inside the box? I have the slides showing all 5 slits now. Another question is should the wick feel damp to the touch?
My other humidfier is a Oshkosh but it takes up a lot of space in my box so I use it in my other humidor for my less desirable smokes.
I have always had difficulty maintaining 70 - 70. My cigars seem fine.

Any suggestions, tips, criticisms are all appreciated. Thanks!
Rob Saxe
