Trinidad Fundador
box date 2005 from 5 pack
Smoked outdoor patio with sweet tea. Appearance - Dark reddish dense wrapper, thin veins, perfect cap, nice looking 5/5 Construction - Firm cigar that draws perfect. Tons of tasty smoke, and even burn, perfect ash. 5/5 Flavor - Classic Trinidad. Strong sweet earthy flavors that is deeply rich and long lasting. Hints of cedar, and citrus on the finish. A bit overpowering, always rich with classic Havana flavor. Can be a bit too strong for some. 10/10 Final note - My favorite cigar. Despite its young box age, it has a classic flavor that puts this in the "best" cigar list in my book. Total score - 20/20 Highly Recommend

SLR,
These are Wonderful smokes. I prefer Them to the Cohiba Lancero. (and I like them too. ) The more age the better, Yeah I know "newsflash" there. They just have that special something, that makes them tasty and worth the Money. Nice brief Review. Cheers! slack

A unique cigar, really in a class all its own. Hard for me to say whether these or Lanceros are my favorite cigar...they kind of switch positions depending on what I'm smoking at the moment.
Thanks for the review, Mike.

Good to hear that the '05s are smoking so well already. 20/20 is an astonishing endorsement! Thanks for the notes.

Also nice to hear about the 05's. I have an uncracked box resting that I just can't bring myself to pull the first one out of... But perhaps I'll give 'em a try to keep my hands out of the 98's
Thanks for the progress report, mate |
