Well I went to the B&M today and picked up my first pipe...
(I'll try to get better pictures later when my digital's batteries are charged) the gave me a pipe tool, cleaners, and an ounce of baccy to try smoked my 1st half bowl as soon as I got home it didn't go to bad.. had to keep relighting but other than that all went good now I need to get more pipes because I liked it a lot...

Relights are part of the game, don't let it bother you. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Welcome to a whole new addiction!

Looks like a decent selection.
I like the wide tapered stem and pattern on the bowl. Would that be a bent apple or billiard shape? Did you get some information on breaking in the bowl? Happy smoking!

Check out estate pipes at ebay. You can get some great freehand pipes there. Search specifically for estate pipes, then search for freehand pipes. I have picked up 5 Karl Erik freehands that were very reasonably priced.
