getting a better seal

i have a chest humidor (approx 20 box capacity) that after about 8 years of use now just doesnt have quite the door seal it used to. any ideas on how to improve it?

I was thinking of using a foam door strip. You know the kind you put on the trim of a door or window to help the seal.
