Storing Cigars in Hot and Humid Climates

I live in Kansas and the temperature during the summer tends to get pretty hot and humid (like in the 90's with 80-100% humidity) My question is, I will be storing my humidor in the rear most room of my basement, but It probably with raise to around 75 F down there in the summer. It gets to be pretty expensive to keep the house at anything less than 78 F so I worry about storing my cigars in such a hot climate. Although it will be in the coolest part of my house, is there anything I need to worry about besides beetle infestation. Also, is there any thing I can do to help keep the temp down in my humidor? I am not so worried about the humidity as I am the temp. I am a newbie to smoking and storing cigars and any help on this topic would be appreciated.

Thanks
