I own both. The cut from the SAK is superior IMO.
The MTX can produce a nice cut, but you have to be VERY good with cigar scissors in order to do this. While the SAK is so simple that anyone can pretty much produce a perfect cut with it.

The MTX has very thick blades with a steep ramp. This produces slightly crooked cuts just like most people complain of with the regular Xicar cutters. The SAK has very thin blades with a very gradual ramp. This produces almost zero blade deflection, hence the better cut.

I don't want to have to concentrate on perfect hand dexterity in order to just cut a damn cigar. So to me the MTX is really only useful for the screw driver and knife blade option. But the SAK has these too, so just throw the MTX out the window and buy an SAK.

Now to the defense of the MTX it is MUCH thinner and smaller than the SAK. So if that is a must then the MTX wins big in that area.
