Wine cooler project

Howdy folks. Long time lurker, finally have something to say.

I have contacts in the appliance business and they came across this lovely dual zone wine cooler that was cosmetically damaged. I got it for the right price ($0) so I decided to give it a shot to convert half of it into a humidor. My wife drinks red wine, so I had to give her half!

I haven't found enough spanish cedar locally yet to line the inside, but I picked up some empty Ashton boxes that seal pretty good to use as holders for now. These along with a few of the boxes I already had will give me enough room for a while until I can build cedar shelves, and install cedar trays.

It's a compressor type, so I was concerned about humidity swings, but with enough 65% beads, so far it's doing great. It's holding at 64 degrees and 65% humidity inside the boxes.

It will be great to not have to worry about beatles anymore out here in the desert!

Now I need to get more smokes to fill'er'up!
