I finally caved in and bought boulevard Bob's 47, their octoberfest. This is rich, and nicely hoppy. A spicy taste that is reminiscent of cinnamon. I suggest it to those who want a hoppy, but well balanced beer.

Boulevard's Bob's 47 IMO is the best beer they brew!

Yea I didn’t much care for it either.
Drinking one from a local DFW brewery named Franconia. A little malty, very balanced, and delish.

I believe that their recipe was changed. many years ago when I first tried it, it seems to have been very different than now. The last time I bought it it was malty and sweet without anything special in the mix. If budweiser made one it might be just as good.

Great Lakes Oktoberfest is rather dry and hoppy, paired well with pizza but didn't seem very festie to me.
