Cigar and Pipes website
I need to get this off my chest. I belong to 5 or 6 COTM clubs and I had a terrible experience with Cigar And Pipes this month they sent 6 cigars that were dried out that I tried to smoke all 6 over the weekend and threw all 6 away. I tried to reach them today and it goes to a voice mail system so I can't reach them to bitch or cancel my subscription. Anyone else have this problem with online vendors?

As an online vendor (not of cigars) I find that to be unacceptable that your primary means of contact goes to VM. But as a small company, I know that at our current size (4 people inclusive) that's how we'd have to run it. So pros and cons. Emails and messages from customers get responded to with an auto reply, and a personal one as quickly as we can get back.
I hope they get back to you quickly, and remedy the situation to your satisfaction. Sorry that happened to you man!

For this reason (access to dedicated CS staff), I have decided to stick with a very short list of online vendors. CI has opened locally, so I can browse in-person now, but I will still occasionally order from Cigar Federation, Famous Cigars, LCDM Houston (formerly Serious), and Small Batch Cigars. If I am looking for Mombachos, I go straight to the company site and order (they fulfill from one of two vendors in FL, usually Atlantic Cigar).

Thanks guys, they did get back to me Monday afternoon. They said they'd get back with a solution, but still no response yet!! There are 3-4 really good COTM's that I deal with and never had an issue with them always good product and customer support. El Gringo, Two of those vendors (Cigar Federation, Small Batch) I deal with that are great for the COTM's and use them all when purchasing. Privada is one of the best COTM's I do use and Smoke Inn is another vendor that is top of the line.
Again thanks guys for the responses. |
