Zip Lock Baggies

Fella's

I have run out of room in my aristocrat and coolers and currently have about 20 boxes stored in Hefty zip lock bages in a cool spot in my basement. I check from time to time and cigars feel fine and dont seem to be drying out. How long can you get away storing like this? Thanks

Not too long. Ziplocks and cellophanes are actually gas permeable. I'd say a week or so, max. That's what I tell guys at the shop when they want to keep things in baggies. Beyond that, barring a real humidor, you might want to think about vacuum sealing or Tupperware.

Your humidity is probably high in the basement. The cigars will eventually stabilize to the temperature and humidity in your basement.

Double bag em or just put them in a large tupperware container, or a cooler if you have one that seals good and isnt smelly.

The most expensive cigars in the world were found in a basement in U.K. after 120 years and they are fine.

You can get an igloo cooler at wally world for under $40.00 that will be a much more stable environment. Why risk it?
