Jimmy Buffett
It is really sad, that year after year, the Bayfest group have tried to no avail to invite him to play. My understanding is that he has turned it down, because he feels that if he shows up, everyone would want him to do something else.
What is even sadder, is there is not one street/etc in Mobile that is named after him. We have the Hank (baseball stadium), the Henry Aaron Loop, and etc. Jimmy is definitely one of our most famous folks from out of the Mobile area.
