1910 Mahogany Presentation Humidor
This was an early effort too.
EBay pic: 1910 presentation humidor. Striped mahogany. Finish was in bad shape so it was stripped. EBay pic #2: Milk glass inner. Top panel missing. Figured I could improve it. Finished pics: This is the first really elegant humidor I had. I was still using tung oil varnish. Sometimes I think about redoing it in an oil finish but....nah, it looks pretty good as is. Yep, I still have it. My Cubans have resided in this humidor since about 2004. Top quality striped mahogany on this box. Plate reads: Presented to John H. Hooper by the employees of the Providence Factory Ward - Corby Co. Dec. 25th 1910. Lined it with Spanish Cedar and made a tray. Humidification is beads provided by Premier in their slim metal holder. Still working. Last edited by xrundog; 09-09-2017 at 07:25 AM. |
