I bought a Gettysburg and I'm waiting for it to season ... h
I just bought a Gettysburg from bargainhumidors. While I am a complete neohphyte when it comes to cigars I am a consumer's delight and buy a lot of things online. I want to preface this by saying that Michael at BH has been very attentive, thorough, and quick to answer all my questions.
My package arrived in excellent conidtion and was at my door in no time. Bravo. However, when I ordered the humidor my significant other proceeded by buy some cigars and didnt realize it would take approx 7-10 days to season the humidor (according the instructions that came with the humidor). Both the cigars and the humidor arrived today in the mail. What is the best way to store the cigars while the humidor is seasoning? Michael told me that they should be fine in a ziplock for about a week or so. I completely trust his expertise (and I dont want to continue bothering him with my emails) but was wondering if 10 days or so will render the cigars useless if they are not stored properly? Any suggestions? Or is the ziplock fine for 10 days and I'm just being my neurotic self? |
