Seconds?

My new local favorite store has a number of pipes marked Savinelli seconds for sale at a nice price. These are beautiful looking pipes but clearly have a few minor surface imperfections. First of all, are these sorts of seconds worth the effort (e.g. durability, performance)? Second, these pipes appear “unfinished” having a smooth surface with a “matte” finish. Is this sort of finish unusual or a potential problem? I found a website (link) with similar pipes. Are these worth the effort or should I just cough up the dough for a first line pipe? Thanks in advance for any help
