Best Cigar

We have all smoked a ton of cigars over the last year. I'm curious as to what is the best cigar you have smoked within the last year. I know it might be difficult to narrow it down to one or two.
I would say for Mr it would be Los Caidos and Montecristo Platnum.

The Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown is quickly becoming a new favorite. But the best cigar I have had this year is still the Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf.

It had to be something I had at the herf, so I will have to think on what cigars I smoked that weekend.

My thought as well. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was the aged ISOM from the box that Roger (ElkTwin) brought for Saturday night at the herf. Not only was the cigar truly outstanding, the smoking experience was enhanced by the company and companionship.

What he said. Might possibly be the GOAT. Partagas 898 from 1998.

It's a once in a lifetime cigar for most of us. I've only seen 3 boxes of 898, and 2 of those are in my coolers. That was one helluva cigar. I started smoking cigars in 1998, but that was the first Cuban I ever smoked from then. Previously, I had my first Cubans from Jean for my wedding celebration in 2000. Bolivar PC and RyJ Exhibition #2. I have a picture of me, my brother and my father (who gave up pipes and cigars in the mid 80s (he sold them as a sundry salesman with his family) smoking those cigars. They didn't enjoy it as much as I did, but that picture is priceless to me. Once in a lifetime.

That cigar is the only one more special than the ones we smoked in memory of Bill Orlando (Shadow) at the latest Gulf Coast Herf.

Thanks again, Roger!

I had forgotten about that cigar. It was truly one of the best. I would put that up there with the other two.

Within the last year, the resurrection of Nat Sherman as Ferio Tego by Michael Herklots has produced some stellar cigars. Apart from special releases, the Metropolitan Habano is an outstanding cigar at a very comfortable price point.

Then there's Noel Rojas and Edgar Hoill. The OSOK/Rojas El Tejano Lancero is pretty mind blowing if you like San Andreas wrapper.

And I fondly remember the 898 from that era, but have not seen one in ages.

Best cigar I've had this year is the Mombacho Tierra Volcan Fino that was recommended by @jefslat
