On the other end of the bourbon value chain...

Last week I was trying to save a couple of $$ so I went with the Evan Williams 7 yo. I have been drinking good stuff (EWSB '03, Woodford Reserve, Russell's Reserve even WT 101) so I have been a bit spoiled. Usually I drink bourbon neat or with some ice. All I can say is YUCK!!!
The finish on the EW is metallic, bad feet, pencil lead and every other tired cliche used to describe cigars and booze. I tried to make whiskey sour with it and the horrible aftertaste still came through. I'll have to find some other place to save $$ cause that's just plain awful.
