Interesting historical side-note: There was no Royal Tokaji Wine Co. until after the fall of communism in eastern Europe, and the tokaji industry of Hungary was only a shadow of its former glory after 40+ years of communism. Foreign (British) interests invested heavily in the industry, formed this company, and led the way for the industry to be restored to its previous reputation and quality. Hooray for capitalism!!

And for the enthusiasm of Hugh Johnson (of "World Atlas of Wine" fame, amongst his many pursuits), who has invested money, time and expertise in the creation of this company and in the revival of one of the world's truly great wines.
