Store unopened box of cigars in the freezer?

I am making another trip to the Philippines in a couple of days. I usually buy a couple of boxes of cigars while I'm there. These boxes are your standard wood boxes wrapped in cellophane.

I just don't have room in my humidor for them when I get back home.

Would they hold up longer if stored in the refrigerator or the freezer prior to finding room in my humidor to transfer them?

I remember people putting cigarettes in there refrigerator. They said that the cigs stayed fresher longer ...

Maybe a freezer would give them freezer burn?

Thanks,
Ron
